  i know this is old news.

  my question is....are there people here "in the know" with this sect?

  but more than that....do you feel this is any different than what we have gone through as witnesses?

  They believe that ....

  • We will be like God when we die, they believe satans lie to Eve.
  • In different levels of Heaven and that we will be there with our famlies, which is why they make such a big thing of families and family trees.
  • That Jesus went to see the American Indians after he died in Israel, and to preach to the Indians in the same way.
  • That Jesus kingdom will be established in a Major city in North America, ( can't remember which one).
  • That their Book of Morman is the Bible Volume2, which tells about Jesus coming to north America

  Can being gay live in harmony with being a christian?

  i have looked at the thread about gay marriages in california and thought about asking this question there, but instead of hi-jacking that one i thought i would ask it here.

  there seems to be quite a few gay people on this site and i wonder how many class themselves as christian?

  if so, can being gay live in harmony with being a christian?.

  Simply because God cannot condemn what he created.

  Don't mean he hates them, I feel there are reasons why people turn or grow up gay.

  Thats my opinion, since you asked for it.

  fuel costs are high and getting higher.

  I am really concerned with the cost of living. Fuel costs are high and getting higher. Food and Housing. even in the so-called rich countries its getting harder. And it doesn't look like it will ever get better only worst. its a bit concerning to say the least.

  Any thoughts? I can really see it coming when Jesus said "brother against brother" the way its going people are going to kill each other over a bucket of Petrol/Gas.

  for a circuit that included several of my friends.

  i remember hearing my friends complain about what a tool this guy was--and these complainers weren't just "lowly" publishers--some of them were elders and pioneers.

  Why I post about atheism

  oftentimes the accusation is made that there is some sort of conspiracy on jwd amongst the atheists to convert, humiliate, spit on, or otherwise degrade the believers.

  it's been suggested that their tone is condescending and arrogant.. it's hinted at that they're angry and bitter about their own lives and want to take it out on god and his humble servants.. others think it's all just an excuse to lead what they judge to be a morally depraved life.. regardless of what we believe about god's existence or lack thereof, most rational adults understand that when we attempt to judge the motives of others we can miss by a mile.. so here's the reason i post about the topic of atheism.... i was born as one of jehovah's witnesses, fourth generation.

  i was being indoctrinated with jehovah while i was still in the womb.

  Elders: How long did active JW hide their sins b4 confessing their sins?

  i would like to know what is the longest period of time that you know of active jw(s) that has been hiding their sins before confessing to the elders?

  that’s a very open-ended question. Depend what you call sins, going to a Forum like this is grounds for Disfellowshipping, and I am still a JW who go's to most meetings.

  Also, as far as morals is concerned, I'm sure there are many who do immoral things without confessing, even common things like Masturbating, as far as sex is concerned, people do what they think they can get away with.

  I personal heard of a pioneer sister who was having sex with 2 brothers in the congo for 4 years before she was found out.

  I have heard of times when a public talk has being given regarding ‘concealing sins’ and then out of fear and guilt some go running to the elders confessing pass or present sins.

  So, really the answer to your question would have be "many years"

  I liked Mr Majestic’s one, i find that one the funniest so far...

  Her solution was quite an easy one. This is what she said in all seriousness. (I kid you not)

  "Maybe we can actually fly and we just haven’t worked out how to yet. All we need is to be shown by Jehovah".

  My comment on that ....Maybe God will show us how to use our farts as Jet Propulsion, hahaha.

  My personal experience wasn’t a funny one but here it is.. I helped out a Sister who was having trouble with an Elder, this Elder didn’t like me helping her out, since it was him that was giving her a hard time. but cutting to the chase, the C/O got involved, he said to me... " if the Elders couldn’t help her, you shouldn’t have..." nice comment eh????? Speaks volumes about their love. After that I started to look at the internet, I should thank him.
